The boat, originally named ‘Netos de José Augusto’, was built about 60 years ago.

 

It served as a passenger ferry boat between the 2 westernmost islands of the archipelago, Flores and Corvo.

 

In 2003 it was purchased by the present owner, José F. Costa.

 

Now ‘Moby Dick’ safely takes people from all over the world out on the ocean so they can enjoy the wonders of nature.
